Click the apple icon in the upper left hand corner of the screen.

Select the "system preferences" option by clicking it.

In the "Internet & Wireless" section, click the "sharing" folder.

Find the line item labeled "File Sharing" and click it to remove the check from the checkbox.
Note :
If the "file sharing" check box is not selected, then file sharing is already disabled.

Close the window. This task should be complete.
