Objective / Info: Animate a shape on a PowerPoint 2010 slide.

Open PowerPoint by clicking the icon on your desktop or start menu.

Click the "Insert" tab from the menu. Then click "Shapes" from the sub menu.

You should see long list of shapes to choose from. For this guide we will use the star shape.

After making your selection the list should disappear and you should see a cross-hair instead of your usual mouse pointer

Left click and drag the shape onto the slide.

While the shape is selected, click on the "Animations" tab.

Roll your mouse over the "Animations" option that you want to use.You should see a preview of the animation. Click the animation that you want to use.
  Note : If you are using multiple shapes, then you can follow these steps for each one and use different animations for each.

Press the "F5" key to see a full screen preview. Press escape to get out of the slide show. You can stop here or proceed for more animation options.

  Note :By default, you will need to left click to start your shape animation in the full screen view.

You can save the file.
