1
Open your browser and visit Gmail by going to google.com and clicking the "Gmail" link at the top of the page.
4
If this is the first time you have used this feature, you will need to install the Google Voice plugin. You can do so by clicking the "please download the voice plugin" link. Note :
I am using the Chrome browser, however, these steps should work on any browser Google Voice supports.
5
A new window should open where you can download the plugin. Click the "Install voice and video chat" button to install the plugin.
9
Verify the settings for your microphone, speakers and camera if you have one connected.
Note :
If no changes are required, scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click the "cancel" button.
12
You should hear the phone ringing through your speakers. After the call is answered your conversation will begin. Note :
The number your are dialing will show at the top of the page but is blurred in this example.

This task should now be complete. If not, review and repeat the steps as needed. Submit any questions using the section at the bottom of this page.comments powered by Disqus
