Visit the administration section of wordpress by type your url/wp-admin/ and logging in with your username and password.
Note :
url/wp-admin/ would appear as "mywebsite.com/wp-admin/"

Click the "Settings" option on the left sidebar near the bottom.

Click the "General" option.

On the "General Settings" page, change the existing subtitle in the "Tagline" field to whatever you want the new subtitle / tagline to be.

Click the "Save" button near the bottom of the screen.

The default or current subtitle should now display the new subtitle that you created.
