How to use the auto fill feature in Excel 2016

Click on Microsoft icon to open.

Type the first cell entry that is part of a series such as January or Monday.

Select the cell and position the mouse pointer at the lower-right corner of the cell.

  Note : When you position the pointer at the lower-right corner it becomes a small black cross.

Drag the auto fill handle down or across the cells you want to fill.

Release the mouse button.
