Objective / Info: Setup your computer to work with App Inventor using the Chrome browser and Windows XP. You should also refer to the guide for setting up the phone for app inventor. See the series section above.

Download the App Inventor Application for Windows XP at http://dl.google.com/dl/appinventor/installers/windows/appinventor_extras_setup.exe

  Note :Your computer must have Java 6 (aka 1.6) installed. Test and or download it here http://www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml

Following a successful download, click the "Next" button.

Read the license agreement and accept them by clicking the "I agree" button.
  Note : If you do not accept agreement, stop here.

Click the "Next" button.

Click the "Install" button.

The app inventor should begin to install on your computer.

Click the "Finish" button.

This task should now be complete. If not, review and repeat the steps as needed. Submit any questions using the section at the bottom of this page.
