How to mute a Google Plus post or thread

Objective / Info: Learn how to mute a post or thread so that it does not appear in your stream on Google Plus. This feature can be undone.

Type plus.google.com into the address bar of your browser.

Identify the post that you want to mute. Click any of your circles or streams if you need to locate the post or thread.

Click the small grey arrow in the upper right hand corner of the specific post that you want to mute.

Click the "Mute this post" option on the drop down menu.

The post should change into a slim yellow row with a message.

This task should now be complete. If not, review and repeat the steps as needed. Submit any questions using the section at the bottom of this page.
