How to tell which version of IE I have

Version: 7

Objective / Info: Identify which version of Internet Explorer you are using. If you are not sure which version you have, this guide should work for IE versions 6, 7 and 8.

Open Internet Explorer by clicking the icon on the desktop or shortcut menu.

On the menu bar , look for the "Help" option and click it.

Select the "About Internet Explorer" option.

A box should open in the middle of the screen that displays the version number in a large font.

This task should now be complete. If not, review and repeat the steps as needed. Submit any questions using the section at the bottom of this page.
