Open Excel by double left clicking the icon on the desktop or start menu, then open the document that you want to work on.

Select the entire data range you wish to create a pivot table for.

Click on the "Insert" tab. Then click on the "PivotTable" icon, which should open a window.

In the window click on "OK".

A new worksheet will open. On the right, you can see the Pivot Table Panel containing useful options for working with the table.
