Create a shape. After your shape is final and ready to be saved, click on the Office icon in the upper left hand corner of PowerPoint.6
Scroll down until you find the image type that you want to save your shape as.
Note :
The most common are highlighted in the image.

You may get see a popup asking you if you want to save all slides or your current slide. If you only have one slide then you can click either of the first two buttons.

Don't press cancel unless you want to cancel.

The popup that follows confirms your save and shows the path where your image is being saved.

Remember where your file is being saved.

It is a good practice to locate you r saved file and review it to be sure it looks they way you want it to and is in fact saved in a location you can find.
