Objective / Info: Learn how to turn on the system restore feature in windows 7. This feature is very useful in recovering data that may have been lost.

Goto the Start menu and left click.

Right click on the "Computer" link.

Left click on "properties."

Left click on the "System Protection" link.

Select the drive that you want to active restore for, then click "Configure" button.

  Note : If the "protection" column indicates "On" next to the drive, then system restore is already active.

Select the radio button that says "Restore system settings and previous versions of files"

The"protection" column should now indicate "On" next to the drive, meaning system restore is now active. Click the "Ok" button.

This task should now be complete. If not, review and repeat the steps as needed. Submit any questions using the section at the bottom of this page.
