Open Internet Explorer by double left clicking the icon on the desktop or start menu.

If Google is set as your default search engine, Google will show when you open the browser. If not proceed to the next step.

Type http://www.google.com in your address bar.
Note :
If there is an address there already left click at the end of the current address and press the "Backspace" key to remove it."

After entering the address, press the enter key.5
Now that you are at Google.com, enter what you are searching for in the box.

Press the "Google Search" button or the enter key on your keyboard.

Google will return search results for your search term.
Note :
We will use "fish" for this example.

Optionally at step six, if you had clicked the "I'm feeling lucky" button,you would have landed on the first search result on the page.
