How to tether with a G2 phone

Objective / Info: Learn to tether your G2 phone. This does not require rooting installation of applications.

Tap the Launcher icon on your G2 desktop.

Tap the "Settings" icon.

  Note : You may need to scroll down the screen to locate it.

Tap the "Wireless & networks" option.

Tap the "Tethering & hotspot" option.

Tap the "Portable Wi-Fi hotspot" option.

The Portable Wi-Fi hotspot should now be active and tethering.The blue icon at the top is an indicator of its active state.

  Note : The hotspots default SSID / name is "AndroidAP" and it is NOT secured.

This task should now be complete. If not, review and repeat the steps as needed. Submit any questions using the section at the bottom of this page.
