Tap the Launcher icon on your G2 desktop.

Tap the "Settings" icon. Note :
You may need to scroll down the screen to locate it.

Tap the "Wireless & networks" option.

Tap the "Tethering & hotspot" option.

Tap the "Portable Wi-Fi hotspot" option.

The Portable Wi-Fi hotspot should now be active and tethering.The blue icon at the top is an indicator of its active state. Note :
The hotspots default SSID / name is "AndroidAP" and it is NOT secured.
