Launch the application from the iPad desktop by clicking the Xfinity icon.

Slide the column of times left or right OR slide the rows up and down to find the program that you want.
  Note : Click the "now" button in the upper left hand corner to return to programs that are available now.

Select the program you want to see by tapping the screen.

You should see more information that is available on the program at the top of the screen.

Click the title of the program to see the complete program information if it was cut off in the previous step.

Tap the "WATCH ON TV" button to switch your tv to the program and you should here a sound from the iPad followed by a channel change on the screen.
