Objective / Info: Learn how to hide or view the Ribbon in Word 2007. The Word Ribbon drops down onto the page to provide quick and easy access to features that you might need.

Open a new or existing word document by clicking on the desktop icon or the document icon.

The ribbon is at the top of the application.
  Note : If you do not see the ribbon then it may already be hidden.

If the Ribbon is visible and you want to hide it, double-click the active tab.
  Note : In this example, the "Home" tab is active.The same rule applies if you are on the "Insert", "Page" "Layout" or any of the other tabs showing above the Ribbon.

The Ribbon should now be hidden.
  Note : To restore the Ribbon, double-click any tab.

This task should now be complete. If not, review and repeat the steps as needed. Submit any questions using the section at the bottom of this page.

  Note :Tip -- To perform the same action (hide or restore the Ribbon) Press CTRL+F1.
