Objective / Info: Access the files of an encrypted flash drive. BitLocker To Go Reader is an application that allows you to access the contents of BitLocker-protected drives in Windows Vista and Windows XP.

Plug the encrypted flash drive into the computer that is running Windows XP.

You should be prompted for a password.

If you are not prompted, click the start menu, then click the "My Computer" icon and lock for your encrypted thumb drive.

  Note : The encrypted flash drive will show as a padlock with a pair of keys icon.

You should see a 2 pane window open that displays your flash drive letter and its contents.

On the right hand side, right click on a file that you want to access and choose any of the three copy methods.
  Note : The first method copies the files to the computers clipboard.

After the file has been copied, you can access it in the way you usually would. This task should be complete. If you did not complete this task, review the steps and try again.

  Note :You will not be able to save these files back on to the encrypted flash drive.
