Launch Google Docs by visiting google.com, click the "more" menu option and select "Documents"

Click the spreadsheet that contains a column that you want to change or create a new one.

Click on the cell where you want to place the drop down menu.

Click the "Tools" option. Then select the "Data validation" option.

Select the "Items from a list" option from the "Criteria" drop down options.

Select the "Create list from range" option, then click the table icon to the right.

Click and drag across the cells that you wan to include in your drop down list. Then click the "Ok" button in the "What data?" pop up window.
  Note : The range is made up of the cells that contain the options that you want to appear in your drop down list. These cells can be located anywhere in your worksheet or workbook.

Click the "Save" button.

At this point you can click the cell and you should see a drop down list containing the data you selected.
